LAUNCH X431 EV Diagnostic Upgrade Kit + Activation Card
Compatible with X431 PAD V & PAD VII. The Launch X431 new energy battery Diagnostics Upgrade Kit includes an activation card and adapters for specific electric vehicles to perform battery pack analysis.
Use the Launch EV Diag Upgrade Kit (EV DIAGKIT) to diagnose battery pack State of Charge and State of Health on Tesla, BYD, and many other electric vehicles.
⚡ How to Use It?
Step 1: User has already purchased new energy battery pack diagnostic configuration of the X-431 PAD V/X-431 PAD VII from the seller and received the Activation Card of new energy detection expansion package and diagnostic adaptor cables.
Step 2: Choose either of the following methods to activate it on the diagnostic scanner.
⚙️ Method 1 - Via Job Menu
1) Update the main diagnostic app to V7.03.025 (X-431 PAD V) / V7.00.021 (X-431 PAD VII) or above. A new module "New Energy Diagnose" will appear on the Job menu. (Figure 1)

2) Tap "New Energy Diagnose" to enter the setup screen. (Figure 2)

Note: Vehicle Diagnosis covers all new energy vehicle diagnostic software included in the configuration. (Figure 3)

3) Tap Battery Pack Detection: The system will identify whether the current user account has activated the battery pack diagnostic configuration or not.
A. If not activated: System navigates to the Mall module. Tap Subscription Renewal Card Pay and enter the 24-digit password to activate. (Figure 4)

B. If already activated but software is not downloaded: Go to Software Update to download and install. (Figure 5)

C. If activated and downloaded: The system enters the battery pack brand selection screen directly. (Figure 6)

⚙️ Method 2 - Via Mall
1) Update the main diagnostic app to V7.03.025 or above and tap Mall on the Job menu. (Figure 7)

2) Tap "Other Software Packages", and then tap "New energy battery pack diagnostic software package". (Figure 8)

3) Tap "Subscription Renewal Card Pay" to proceed to payment interface. (Figure 9)

4) Tap "Subscription Renewal Card Pay", enter the 24-digit password and tap Confirm to activate. (Figures 10 & 11)

5) After activation, go to Software Update to download and install the diagnostic software of the battery pack. (Figure 12)

6) Once download is complete, tap New Energy Diagnose and then tap Battery Pack Detection to select battery pack brand (Refer to Figure 6).

1. What devices is the EV Diagnostic Upgrade Kit compatible with?
The upgrade kit is fully compatible with the X431 PAD V and X431 PAD VII diagnostic scanners.
2. Which electric vehicles can be diagnosed with this kit?
It can perform battery pack State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) diagnostics on Tesla, BYD, and many other electric vehicle brands.
3. How do I activate the EV diagnostics package?
